Presumably it's a response to both the question and the statement, as he doesn't move, or let her go. He's drowsy, if anything; he was tired before they did this, and right now, this seems a perfectly acceptable place to go to sleep, comfortable as he is.

Impractical, probably. But still, he doesn't move. It's nice.
