He lies on his back, quilt pulled up to his chest, head resting on one arm bent behind his head. He wants that last light put out, so he can roll on to his side, and curl up. He never does that. But he wants to, and he can't while she might see.

'You'll be fine, Alex.'

He blinks at the ceiling.
