He holds the door open for her again, steps aside so she can go first. It feels like the right thing to do.

'Rats'll bring tea in a minute.'

She nods, and grips him just as tightly, hooking one foot around his calf, one hand over his at her breast. The scent of him surrounds her, and yes, the strength of his embrace soothes away even more of the tensions she'd been holding onto.

One moment at a time, she thinks. One deep breath and she exhales, letting it all go.

It takes awhile for her mind to slow down enough to doze, but she gets there eventually.
